by SASL

About the Organisation

Students for Liberty is the largest pro-liberty movement of students in the world with a presence in more than 100 countries and every inhabited continent.

About the Campaign

End the Drug War is a single issue campaign produced and developed by Students For Liberty to raise awareness about the failed War on Drugs and to show policymakers all over the world that the millennial generation is united against the violence, waste, corruption and curtailment of freedom perpetuated by the drug war.

About SFL Samvad

A Samvad is an open discussion where you can share your ideas, and listen to those of others. That being said, it is important for all the participants to refrain from any abusive language or rude remarks. At Students For Liberty, we believe in a fruitful exchange of ideas which is enjoyable and lively.

This Samvad on psychoactive substances will happen in two stages spread across two consecutive days. On the first day, we will be talking about the natural substances i.e. cannabis and khat, a brief about their history and how the ban has affected people across the world.

We will be also covering up the medicinal uses of cannabis and comparing the effect and drawbacks of khat and cannabis to alcohol and tobacco. The second day will be on the same line but the focus will be on synthesized substances like LSD, ecstasy and hash.

If you are interested to delve deep into understanding how economic principles can be used to analyse voters’ choices, balance private-interests with those of the community and nation, and scrutinize collective decision making, this is the forum for you!
